Description: DPS were engaged as Project Managers to oversee the safe dismantling of 3 x Fly Ash Silo’s at Blythe Power Station. Due to the size of the components road transport was not possible, so we shipped them by means of tug and barge. The silos were then installed at Pomphlett Dock Plymouth, this included civils, mechanical and electrical installations. The project brief was for cement importation via a pipeline to 3 enclosed silos and to have a lorry load out facility for transportation into the Devon/Cornwall area.

Description: DPS were invited by Lafarge Cement to assist on a number of projects at their Hope Works, these included other projects at Aberthaw and Cauldon. Projects included modifications to the existing rail unloading system, improvements to the cement process and a new field conveyor and crushing facility from quarry direct to site.
